What We Do
We are in relentless pursuit of innovative health designs that improve engagement and accountability–resulting in improved health and economic outcomes–through value-based decisions.
We demonstrate that achievement of superior health outcomes is a result of engagement and accountability that is supported by value-based decisions.
The Center for Health Value Innovation is a non-profit organization chartered as an educational 501c3, with the social mission to educate the market on improved health quality through the use of value-based benefit designs. The Center functions as a forum for analysis and exchange of innovation concepts that accelerate the value of health investments by plan sponsors and service providers. Because the basis of a value-based design is the focus on outcomes and the predictable cost trend reduction, the value-based benefit design is one of the foundational tools of the Center.
But it’s not our only tool: we share innovation in technology, services, and communication that support the sustainable change. Our membership is comprised of all of the stakeholders in the health value supply chain, from employers and plan sponsors, to physicians and hospital systems, to health plans, brokers, consultants, technology companies, pharmaceutical and device manufacturers, academia and policy makers. It is a collaborative for developing tools, strategies and recommendations that achieve greater value from benefit design, sharing the findings and challenges of improving health quality. Our measure is the increased health, wealth and performance of our constituents, so we link value-based design to Outcomes-Based ContractingTM for greater accountability. Our goal is to accelerate the adoption of health management strategies that improve the health of the people, the organizations, and the communities of America.
