Robert Kritzler, M.D.

Dr. Kritzler is Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Johns Hopkins Healthcare LLC, serving in the executive leadership group for care management of the three constituent health plans (200,000 members). In this role, his primary focus is on corporate care management strategy including resource management, pharmacy design and administration, benefit design as well as new product development.
At Johns Hopkins, he serves on the Scientific and Benefit Advisory Committee, the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and the Health and Productivity Committee He also serves as a part-time faculty member in the division of pediatric endocrinology (assistant professor) and maintains a limited pediatric endocrine practice.
Previously, he spent more than 20 years with Kaiser-Permanente, leading the Utilization Management Department and assuming physician leadership of several departments with oversight of 240 physicians and a combined budget in excess of $400 million.
He has served as co-chair of the Health and Insurance Group for the Greater Baltimore Committee (Board of Trade). He holds a B.A. from Johns Hopkins and a medical degree from Columbia University. He was a fellow in pediatric endocrinology at Johns Hopkins and a pediatric resident at Babies and Children’s Hospital of New York.
