Health Alliance Medical Plans, located in Illinois, once again strikes a ground-breaking chord in value-based design. Through an outcomes-based contract for osteoporosis, formulated on the use of Actonel, they have announced early results of improved outcomes and value. Christina Barrington, RPh, is the mastermind behind this contract, and one of our early discoveries of renegades in the Midwest. Our hats are off to Christina and the folks at Health Alliance.
